The history of India’s Freedom Struggle remains incomplete if we tend to forget the contribution of our Unsung Heroes, many of whom might be unknown to the new generation. This seminar has been organized to commemorate 75 years of India’s independence. This became most crucial whilst the nation celebrates Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. After a brief welcome address by the Principal of Acharya Prafulla Chandra College, Dr. SaktibrataBhowmik, IQAC Coordinator, Dr. Subhajit Ghosh, introduced the Speaker, Dr. Shrimoyee Guha Thakurta. She explained very lucidly an alternative narrative of Freedom Struggle while highlighting the sacrifices and ideals of those lesser known revolutionaries. She interacted with the students while showing them photos and encouraging them to identify the revolutionaries , such as, Ramprasad Bismil, K R Kalyanraman, SukhdevThapar, Durga Devi,  Tara Rani Srivastava, & many others. The participation of the students was very encouraging. The seminar came to an end with a vote of thanks by Subhojit Ghosh, IQAC, A.P.C. College.
