| Biography |
Dr. Indrani Datta is an Associate Professor and Head of the department of Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, APC College, New Barrackpore. She has twenty-five years of teaching experience in the undergraduate level (Microbiology Honours & Molecular Biology General) and twenty years of teaching experience in the postgraduate level (PG Department of Microbiology, APC College, New Barrackpore). She along with other departmental faculty members was involved in setting up the Microbiology Honours laboratory from 1998 to 2001. |

Biotechnology, Prokaryotic Genetics and Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Environmental Chemistry and Microbiology. Study of lipids and RAPD patterns of genomic DNA in certain indigenous ant species. Assessment of groundwater quality by analyzing its hydro-chemical and bacteriological characteristics to ascertain its sustainable and safe use for drinking and domestic purposes.
