Biography After graduating from Lady Brabourne College, Calcutta University, in Chemistry Honours with a First Class in 1991, I completed my Masters in Biochemistry with a first class in 1993 from Calcutta University. After that I qualified the JRF under CSIR-UGC (June1993) and started my research in Bose Institute in January1994. My area of research was bacteriophage genetics. I was awarded Ph.D degree from Jadavpur University in December 2001.Meanwhile I started teaching in the department of Microbiology in this college against a substantive post from August 2001 till date.
