Biography I am Mrs. Bhanumati Sarkar and I was born on January 1, 1980 in the West Bengali, District Nadia & village of Mayurhat. I had a strong interest in learning ever since I was a child. After completing my studies, I decided to pursue a profession as a teacher. I have been working at Acharya Prafulla Chandra College as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany on 3 December, 2014. In addition to my job as a teacher, I actively participate in a number of social and community development initiatives. To raise the quality of life in our hamlet & college campus, I set up health camps and workshops on herbal remedies. I stay steadfast in my belief that education may lead to societal improvement.
Academic Interest My scholarly interests are mostly in the study of phytochemicals and medicinal plants which are used in daily life. Genetics, molecular biology and plant breeding are the subjects I find most fascinating.  In addition, I have an intense interest in studying and investigating a variety of environmental topics, such as climate change, the preservation of biodiversity, and sustainable resource management. I am passionate about solving environmental problems and am especially interested in how human actions affect the natural world. My goal is to advance knowledge of the medicinal properties of herbs and support initiatives that will benefit our people in the long run.
